This month is the one year anniversary of the Panama Papers, a leak of 11 million documents from the Mossack Fonseca law firm that showed how easy it is for corrupt public officials, money launderers, drug traffickers and other criminals to hide behind anonymous companies and access the global financial system.
It sounds like a preposterous scenario. A member of the company's finance team transfers several million dollars to an unknown firm for a transaction no one in the company has ever heard of, based solely on confidential orders from the company's CEO or CFO sent by email.
There’s no doubt that the growing commercialization of Artificial Intelligence will continue in 2017. Much of that commercialization effort will be focused around robotics, cars, and consumer side applications. However, 2017 should also start to see real growth of applications for AI in enterprises as well.
