Gift Giving Rules In The UAE

Here's a summary of the United Arab Emirates' gift-giving rules from the global index of ethiXbase:

Gift-giving legislation can be found in the Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct issued on 12 June 2010.

The Code forbids public servants or any of their family members (up to the fourth degree) to accept any gifts from anybody if the gifts result in "any form of obligation, or have a direct or indirect impact on the objectivity of job performance, or that may affect their decision, or may oblige them into an undertaking as a result of its acceptance".
